Estonian University of Life Sciences, European Crane Working Group, Crane Working Group of Eurasia and International Crane Foundation are delighted to announce that the next 

International Crane Conference will be held at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Tartu, Estonia, from 12–18 September 2022.

The programme is still in development, but will include a half-day mid-conference excursion. A post-conference excursion to Estonia’s amazing wetlands, which host thousands of migratory Common cranes each autumn, is also being planned, for 17–18 September 2022.

The conference can be followed online over the internet. The corresponding link will be added before the start of the conference.


Conference languages

The official language of the conference will be English. However, we are looking for simultaneous translation possibilities in the Russian-English-Russian language.


Meanwhile please note the following dates in your diaries:

Deadline of first registration: 23 January 2022

Those who register later do not have the opportunity to make an oral presentation; the only way to present your research results will be a poster presentation.


Deadline for abstract submissions: 1 May 2022


Deadline of final registration: 28 February 2022


International Crane Conference: 12–16 September 2022


Post-conference excursions: 17–18 September 2022
